Got breastfeeding problems? Wondering what's normal? Feeling lonely? Not sure if you need a 1:1 helping appointment with a facilitator?
We created our virtual support group, now every second week, during the pandemic as a way to let families interact and talk about breastfeeding issues together the way they used to at face-to-face sessions. Because we are now running some in person sessions we have reduced the frequency from weekly to every second week. OBS Group runs on alternate Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on Zoom. Babies of all ages are welcome.
One to one support is often available in a breakout room. Please note that you may spend part of the time in a Zoom breakout room with OBS volunteers, without an OBS facilitator present. If you want to speak to a facilitator, you can ask for this during the session, or request a 1:1 consultation at another time with a member of the facilitator team.
To register click on the button below. When we confirm your place we will send you a video link and ask that you join the meeting promptly at 12:30 pm.
Themed Breakout Rooms
We currently offer themed Breakout Rooms most weeks during our online OBS Group sessions, on subjects such as sleep and starting complementary foods.
Please use the button below to indicate which Breakout Room you are interested in attending. You will then be emailed a link to complete your registration one week before the session. Sessions are restricted to a maximum number of attendees and slots will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
Please: Submitting this form does not mean that you have completed the booking process. Please check your email in the week leading up to the session for a registration link.
Our upcoming sessions are:
August 12th - Complementary foods
September 9th - Your older baby's sleep (6-12 months)
September 16th - Going back to work
We've launched a fundraising appeal to hold OBS Breakout Rooms more often, to meet growing demand. We are grateful for any contribution you are able to make. You can donate here.
